Meet Our Team

Narindi Jansen qualified as an optometrist in 1999 at the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg. She began her career by joining Marianne Otto at Oakdene Optometrists in Comaro Crossing Shopping Centre and Marianne Otto Optometrists in Lambton. In 2005, after Oakdene Optometrists was sold, Narindi opened her own practice, Narindi Jansen Optometrists, in the Lemon Tree Centre, Alberton.

Education & Specialized Training

Narindi has continued her professional development through several advanced courses at the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston, including:

Certificate of Advanced Study in Biological Science and Clinical Medicine (September 2001)
Certificate of Advanced Study in Ocular Disease and Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Application (October 2002, in collaboration with the University of Durban Westville and Wits University)
Certificate of Advanced Study in Binocular Vision, Pediatrics, and Related Areas (August 2008)
Certificate of Advanced Study in Contact Lenses, Ocular Physiology, and Anterior Segment Disease (February 2012)
Diabetes Course – Comprehensive Patient Care for the Primary Care Optometrist (May 2013)

Specialized Skills

Narindi has extensive experience in fitting hard contact lenses and scleral lenses. She enjoys working with children and has also started offering Orthokeratology to help manage Myopia progression.
